With less people driving, they have to do something with those unused new oil cans.

Lots going on here.
“May kill” - or may not.
“B ottled in USA” - of a Chinesium liquid lead/heavy metals/asbestos mix?

My take away here is that I can put a sprayer top on my bottle of ATF and I’m not sure what to do with this information.

Pretty sure they all say that, just in smaller letters. On the back.

That’s great for the bottle. Let’s hope that doesn’t apply to the contents.

love the fine print - MAY kill 99.9%. Hasn’t been tested or proven... who knows what it does. May iron your clothes, may cook you dinner... or you know... may kill 99.9% of germs.

I’m both excited and confused by this revelation .

Isn’t that basically the rust remover in PB blaster?

Likely they either had an overstock of bottles, or decided just to use an existing mold to save time.
Yup, that’s exactly what it was:
To help curb the current COVID-19 public health crisis, RPP Products Inc. , a national privately held manufacturer and distributor of automotive chemicals and lubricants to the convenience and grocery channels, has partially shifted its resources to help with the shortage of hand sanitizer available to the public.
Because of this, RPP is not limiting production to two-ounce product, but are also packaging 32-ounce and 67.6-ounce of hand sanitizer because those sizes can more readily be produced in their facilities. The sizes also allow for RPP to provide product to health services professionals.

The manufacturer did a rapid pivot to produce sanitizer in this time of Corona. I’d be willing to bet those two phrases are worded that way because they didn’t finish the paperwork to say “Kills 99.9% of germs” and “ Made in the USA”, even though both are in fact true now .

it does have detergents in it. But do not get it on porous surfaces.

Why doesn’t it say what the active ingredient and % on the label ? So confusing.

It’s a good hand wash/ cleaner.
Also it’s a pretty good low cost rust proofing trick. Kinda thin so it’ll leak for a while but keeps air and moisture away from panels.

Locally breweries started producing hand sanitizer pretty quickly. Before the government even had a chance to get the paperwork through.
Just legal stuff.

All this time and I could attach a spray trigger on an oil bottle!?

I used that trick to fill the trans in my old 240. It’s awkward to get at the fill hole and it takes ATF so I just attached a squirt nozzle to the bottle and used that to squirt it in. Was tedious but worked like a charm and no spill. You could probably hook a hose up to the output of the pump too

“family protection”
Does this mean it can be used as a contraceptive, to protect you from getting a family?

That would mess with new techs for sure. I hope you like bitter tastes though. I sanitize my hands every morning before entering our offices. I can taste the bittering agent on my hands when I eat my breakfast 2.5 hours later.
